TAVERNA Restaurants is founded by two longtime friends, Thanasis Pashalidis and Hakan Bala. The co-owners opened their flagship restaurant in Palo Alto in April 2018. Thanasis Pashalidis and Hakan Bala, share a passion for authentic Greek cuisine, which is showcased in every dish.

TAVERNA Portola Valley offers an exceptional fine dining experience for large parties up to 24 guests. All menus are served family style. For interest in private events, please select “Large Party Dining Packet.” Private events are currently limited to our Palo Alto location.
